Because how can you improve without experimentation?

An experimental animation using splines and deformers in Cinema 4D. The animation is driven by noise effectors, with the goal of creating a fluid animation that has a bit of a sci-fi/technological feel to it. This project was really rather relaxing to make, and a very different pace and style to what I'd been making prior. I'm considering different applications for the techniques I used in this, such as abstract topographical maps.

Music - 'Divergent', by Ooyy.

A 3D motion graphics animation experimenting with RocketLasso's FUI tools and curves in Cinema 4D, and creating an X-Presso-driven timer. The aim was for this to function as something that could be seen in common media, such as sports highlights. The animation was created in Cinema 4D, and rendered in Redshift.

This project was a quick, type-centric animation focused on creating engaging typographic animations around a central voiceover track. The intention was to make something that felt distinctly more corporate, fitting within an established brand's style.

Spotify's 'Need a Break from the Ads' was a perfect choice for this project - the focus is primarily on the voice-over, with the typography accompanying it. Spotify is also known for using a lot of fun graphical elements in its graphics and branding, such as shapes and stars. This allowed for a quick, high-energy animation that seamlessly follows Spotify's established branding guidelines.

This was a quick animation created in a few hours to experiment with the Ouroboros plugin for After Effects. I primarily wanted to make an abstract animation with playful, colorful elements, taking full advantage of the different features of the Ouroboros plugin!

A quick animation created in an hour playing with creating liquid simulations and refractive textures, creating an illusory 'bubble' render. The render time itself was unfortunately long even for my computer, but with highly refractive and reflective textures like those used here, it was hard to get around. The text animation came naturally after that, experimenting with some more organic shapes and text deformations!

The background animation was crafted in C4D and rendered in Redshift, with the text animation and final compositing crafted in After Effects.

A quick experimental side project I made creating some basic motion graphics techniques in After Effects, experimenting with taking simple infographics and making them more engaging with simple yet expressive animations. The gradients and design does feel more corporate-like and like they could be used in a presentation presenting the main pillars of an idea, but with a fun animated twist on them.

A fun typography animation of song lyrics from Major Lazer's song "Powerful". This began simply to experiment with the fractal text animation, but I soon became carried away and this became a larger project incorporating it with other text animations, which were crafted to make the fractal text feel more impactful in comparison. The main word I was experimenting with, being 'Energy', and the energy-filled style of the animation itself reminded me of this song, leading to this quick and colorful lyrical animation.
