"Tangerine" is a quick abstract animation project I crafted using entirely Adobe After Effects and Illustrator, after being inspired by the work of Austin Bowens and his team at Ravie! Recently, the folks at Ravie have begun to create a variety of high-energy, colorful animations depicting how it feels to listen to specific songs. At the time, I was repeatedly listening to the Glass Animals song, "Tangerine", and have always pictured a lot of bright, warm, almost neon colors for that song, in line with the Vaporwave feel of its album's cover. As a result, this animation was born! This was a great experimental piece in a different style from what I've previously created, and was a great pleasure to create!
